Getting there

We've chartered two of the Alexandria Old Town Trolleys to bring wedding guests from the Westin hotel to the ceremony location. The trolleys pick up at the Westin at 3:15 and 3:30, and will drop guests off along East Basin Drive, in front of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. There is some parking for the memorial along Ohio Drive, and in the parking lots labeled A, B, and C on the map above. However, the parking is in significant demand on the weekends. The trolleys have plenty of capacity for everyone, so locals are welcome to park near the Westin/Carlyle Club and take the trolleys to the ceremony instead.

The trolleys will provide guests a brief driving tour of the monuments and the US Capitol before heading back to the reception venue, which is just across the street from the Westin. They depart from the same location at the Jefferson at 5:00 and 5:30. The reception starts at 6:00, so the second trolley should arrive just as the reception is starting.

The nearest metro station is Smithsonian, and is about a 15 minute walk from the memorial. As always, you can easily catch a taxi (or taxi alternative) basically anywhere in D.C.
